Bath time

Granny leaves

Isabel and I said goodbye to Granny Lala this morning. It was sad to see her leave but she promised to come again soon. Isabel wonders how Granny will be able to go through each day without seeing her cute little face. Tonight Granny will be able to see Connor and Madeline. Isabel, Zinni and I all took long naps after dropping Granny off at the airport.

Granny visits

Isabel is having a fun time with Granny LaLa's visit. They have been playing, kissing, cuddling, hugging and laughing at their private little jokes. Granny LaLa has babysat for Isabel while I have gone to work for a meeting and I also have been able to run errands. It has been very nice and we will be sad when she leaves tomorrow. Somehow Isabel sleeps better with Granny here and she also coos and squeals a lot more.

Isabel

Isabel is hanging out with mom, while posing for pictures with dad. She gets so much attention, poor Zinni begs for her pictures to be taken too. Both girls are counting the days till Granny Lala comes......2 days. We can't wait.

Play time

Isabel finds her mouth

We have entered a new stage and it is called "lets put everything into my mouth". Please see pictures for details. Is this Freud's oral stage? Isabel likes to chew, suck, and/or slobber on her toys, your shirt, her baby bjorn while walking, her own shirt or anything within reach to her mouth.

Family walks

Family walks

Most evenings we do a family walk with Zinni. Isabel likes to ride in the baby bjorn. In the past (when she was a baby) she would always fall asleep during the walk. Now that she is a mature 3 month old girl, she stays awake and looks around. She really seems to enjoy being outside.

Isabel 3 months

Isabel is 3 months old in this picture. We took her tonight to see her doctor because her tear ducts continue to be blocked, which is causing some eye buggers and a lot of drainage. We got some eye drops to use to help clean it up. Her weight was 13.3 pounds. She is growing like a little weed. Her latest milestones: she has found her feet and likes to play/grab them, she has slept through the night 3 times and she really likes to watch Zinni.

More belly time.

She keeps growing

Can you believe this belly? It really is a little budha belly. The newest and the latest out of the Isabel camp is her loud, happy, vigorous squeals. I think she found her voice. The last couple of evenings she has been quite vocal with her baby talk/squeals. It is quite funny to listen to and I think sometimes the noises she makes is a surprise to herself, as well. I keep practicing "mamamamamama" with her while Adam tries to get her to say "dadadadadadad".

Home from the hospital

First morning in her crib

Isabel sleeps in her crib

This week Isabel moved out of the co-sleeper into her own crib and room. She handled the transition really well and I think it has helped her sleep longer periods of time. With Adam tossing and turning and the dog tossing and turning, I think Isabel woke up more frequently. It was time to make the move. The first morning when I went to get her up, she was all smiles. I think she likes her crib and her room. I posted two pictures to show how much she has grown. The first picture was her coming home from the hospital. She is wearing the same pj's that she wore for the first night in her crib, which is the next picture. In the first picture we had to roll up the sleeves and feet several times, whereas in the next picture her feet and legs are all hanging out!
