Girls weekend
Isabel and I spent the weekend with college friends Kate and Barb. We had a great time gossiping, touring the area highlights, and shopping! Isabel was the center of attention and she loved getting lots of kisses from Barb and Kate. I think Isabel showed her anger at their departure by crying all evening after dropping them off at the airport. Barb and Kate, come back soon. We enjoyed your visit.

Isabel and her friend
Isabel hung out with her friend, Ryan, last weekend. They had fun staring at each other. Ryan has been rolling over for several weeks so Isabel finally decided to follow suit. She has rolled over several times now.
Isabel tucker out.
Isabel was a bit tired after her day in the park. Why doesn't she sleep like this at home?
Doggy Days
So I am a week behind in updating the blog. These are pictures of our day at Bark in the Park, a doggie festival. Zinni met up with her friends Kaylee and Peanut to partake in all the events and run through the agility course. They had lots of fun.

New action toy
We went shopping for appliances but only came home with an exersaucer for Isabel, clothing for Isabel and a halloween costume for Isabel (she is going to be a bug). Isabel loves her exersaucer. She can't bounce on it yet as she is a little short for it, but she loves to grab at the toys. We have definately noticed a difference in her ability to play with her toys lately. She is much more interactive with them.
Check out my outfit!
This is how Isabel looks when Adam gets her dressed. It is a mix match of stripes, flowers, prints, solids, and all colors together. I actually think she likes it, she may think it is funky or she may end up with a fashion trauma disorder by age two!

4 month check up
Isabel saw her Md today for a check up. She is a healthy girl. She weighed in at 13.12 pounds (55% percentile), her height is 25.25 inches (75% percentile) and her head is also in the 75% percent range. She got more shots and although she cried, she wasn't as upset as she was the first time. She is sleeping them off now with a very long nap. She won't have another appt until she is 6 months old. Although she will be starting daycare in 2-3 weeks and we hope she won't pick up any colds there or else it is back to the MD's office.

Isabel stands
Is she standing or showing off those chubby thighs? Isabel's latest thing is to stand, bearing her own weight. This creates the biggest smile from her. She definately has no sense of balance though!!!
Reading time
Adam and Isabel spend a lot of time reading. I think Adam would prefer to read Thermo Mechanics but Isabel finds this book on farm animals much more interesting. Actually, she tends to watch the dog play while we read her books or maybe she will focus on the looking at the ceiling or something equally as interesting. Oh well, we try.
Isabel and her best friend, Hannah
Zinni wasn't the only one to get to see her best friend. Isabel got to see her best friend, Hannah, when Hannah and her family came to pick up Kaylee. Hannah is 11 months old now and Isabel is almost 4 months. I think Isabel is jealous that Hannah can get around on her own. Hannah is almost ready to walk.
Labor day weekend
Zinni was so excited to host a Labor Day weekend sleepover. Her best friend, Kaylee spent the weekend. They had so much fun playing, sniffing, eating and chasing cats. Zinni and Kaylee have been best friends since they were young pups. Isabel loves to watch them play. She just stares at them as they run to and fro.
