Bye Bye Lala, Hello Nana

Since we no longer have an office, Grandpa has set up shop in the garage. He has a desk made out of Adam's work equipment and plenty of space. He is one happy camper out there (we do let him sleep inside).

Crazy driver! Isabel and Grandpa cruise the grocery store.
The day after the big, delicious turkey dinner, Adam, Isabel, Grandpa and Nana hit the hills on a hike with neighbors and Isabel's BFF.
Nana and Isabel worked hard to decorate the dinner table for Thanksgiving. They made placemats and feathered covered napkin rings.
A delicious turkey dinner. Thank you Aunt Jane for the beautiful flower centerpiece.
Adam had a week off of work after Claudia's birth and he was able to take Isabel to gym class. Isabel showed off her swinging ability on the bars.
Some special time together.
Nana arrives and meets Claudia for the first time.
Isabel takes a break, puts her feet up and reads a great classic novel.
Isabel still talks about wanting to be an elephant next year for Halloween. This morning she shows how a banana can be turned into an elephant's trunk.
And we said goodbye to Lala who headed back to the tree farm.
Isabel loves to go see the ocean.

Isabel introduces sister Claudia

Isabel, Claudia and LaLa snuggle for a picture.
One of my favorite pictures. I can't believe I have two beautiful girls.
Claudia comes home for the first time. She has been a great baby...granted it has only been 2 1/2 days, but she is easing us back in parenting a newborn baby.
Isabel checkes out Claudia for the first time at the hospital. She wanted to hold her all by herself. She kept saying "baby out" as she pointed to my stomach.
Isabel shows mama what she had been making while we were in the hospital. Claudia sleeps quietly in the distance. No worries or fears, Claudia woke up and showed her true colors between 11:00pm and 4:00am!
Proud papa!
First foot print.
Adam was amazed by how similar Claudia and Isabel looked at birth.
Yea!!!! The baby is out!
Introducing Claudia Lucille, born 11-7-07 @ 8:17am, weighing in at 7.14 lbs and 20 inches long.

Our last weekend

It was our last weekend as a family of four (counting Zinni the dog), so we had a fun family weekend up in the city. Isabel had a blast flying her kite, digging in the sand, throwing the ball to Zinni and playing in the water. It was a beautiful day.

A week of Halloween events

It has been a week of celebrating Halloween. I think i am done with the holiday and done with all the candy. But this year Isabel really got into the holiday and she loved to put on her chicken outfit. Here she is with her BFF who is dressed as a kitty cat princess (with a pumpkin basket on her head). Isabel school had a parade and a party on Halloween day. I was able to watch the parade. Isabel lead her class in the parade line, it looks as if she was really pulling everyone to keep up with her.
The chicken leads her classroom.
Here are her some of her friends from mom's group.
Wearing her fancy Halloween dress to school.
The pumpkin she helped to carve with daddy.
Great picture with daddy.
I have never seen anyone take a drill to a pumpkin before, but Adam thought it was the perfect method to carve a pumpkin. I think he just misses all the household projects.
The neighborhood kids gather for a group picture after attending the neighborhood parade.
Isabel and her doggie were both chickens in the parade.
Walking around the neighborhood.
Attending the evening Halloween party at Isabel's school. Here she picked a pumpkin from the patch.
School had numerous games and prizes that the kids could participate in, here Isabel does the ring toss game.
Waiting in line to play a game and give the teacher her ticket. Isabel kept saying "next one", she wanted to play all the games.
We ran into several neighbors that attend school with Isabel. All the girls looked great in their costumes. Today Isabel told me she wants to be an elephant next year for Halloween. It will be neat to see what she wants to be next year.
