Up north

We headed up North this weekend as we had our first open house and we thought it would be best to keep the place clean by getting out and about. We checked into a neat little spa. This was our view from our patio. The deer were feasting on the grape vines in the morning.

Isabel and Claudia had fun running inside and out this big wine cave. We looked for bats but didn't find any flying around.

Before we headed out of town this weekend, we attended Alex's second birthday party. We snapped a picture of our reunited bookclub. Jen will return to NJ this spring and I will head to the midwest, but Jen and Cheryl plan to add some new members and keep reading.

Congratulations to Dave and Reyna. They had a baby boy yesterday and his name is Liam Phillip. Isabel and Claudia can't wait to meet their new little cousin.

Atlantic meets Pacific

Nana and Grandpa, this is for you. Isabel and Zinni dump your water bottle of Atlantic ocean water into the Pacific.

We headed into the city for a morning of running the trails and across the bridge. It was a beautiful day.

Even Zinni ran both lengths of the bridge. She was in dog heaven with all the attention she was getting.

Adam's last day with his grizzly looked. He started to grow it on New Year's Day in protest of returning to work. But alas, he returned to work and several days later the beard was shaved off.

Isabel got this fun toy from Uncle Greg and Aunt Katie. She has had lots of fun with it.

We had a great visit with Granny Lala and Grandpa at Christmas. Here we headed up to the top of the mountain. It was overcasted when we started out but we broke through the clouds half way up and at the top it was sunny and warm. Beautiful views.

We also went and toured an air craft carrier. Isabel and Claudia found the type of plane that Grandpa P used to fly.

The girls had lots of space to run around because the air craft carrier was huge.

We also spent some time back home. Isabel and lala did some baking. Here is the finished project of her gingerbread house. But she also made brownies from the easy bake oven she got fron Nana and Grandpa. They were a hit.
