We are here

So....things are a bit different here. Instead of beachs and ocean, we are doing what the locals do in our new town. Paintball shooting at the old stale gingerbread house left over from Christmas that is floating in the pond! I would like everyone to know that i hit it everytime! Isabel and Madeline have been having so much fun together.
Claudia LOVES Uncle Greg's dog Scout. Scout reminds me of Kaylee dog from CA because both Kaylee and Scout will tolerate the girls petting them, where as Zinni runs away or just tries to lick them.
We were able to have a nice visit with Grandma Charlotte.
And on Easter we were finally able to meet baby Liam. Aunt Reyna cooked the best ham ever!
The Easter Bunny dropped some eggs outside of Liam's home and the girls were happy to pick them up and eat all the candy.
The Easter bunny also dropped some eggs and easter baskets off at Uncle Greg and Aunt Katie's house. The girls were on the hunt for all the loot. They also looked so cute in their matching dresses from their dear friends Emily and Maxy in CA.
And one more Easter hunt with Madeline, Connor and Gavin at their church. Claudia scored all the eggs and had to share with the other kids.
Finding the eggs............

Trip pics cont.

The Arches- We had a great visit checking out all the Arches in Utah. Isabel and Claudia scaled the big rocks for a photo opportunity.
We also had a nice hike in Brice, but it was a bit muddy, snowy and cold yet.
Due to the mud, Isabel and I took a shorter hike. These pictures are from the longer hike that Claudia and Adam took.

It was beautiful.

The girls and dog all tired from all the hiking.

We weren't able to see much of Zion National park because it was too warm to keep Zinni in the car. We planned to do the one hike that allowed dogs. Here are some pics at the beginning of that hike, but we went about 1/2 mile and then the trail was closed. We were really bummed out.
Enjoying the rushing river.

Happy belated Easter

I am a bit behind on updating the blog because of moving and lack of internet. But hope everyone had a great Easter. It was nice to spend it with family this year. Reyna made the BEST ham! Here is the great group picture of Izzy, Claudia and their friends; Brennan, Christian, Cameron, Emily, and Max. They posed with baby chickens, ducks and bunnies and all the animals survived the photo shoot. We miss all our dear CA friends.

Leaving our home part 2

We left our house full of tears but Disneyland has a way of making us all smile again. We met up with 2 of Adam's friends from childhood who live in the area for a day of fun. Chris came with daughter Ella and Jeff brought Madeline. The girls were ready to head for some rides. We went on the Snow White ride and it literally scared the crap out of Claudia....either that or it was all of the black beans from dinner last night. But a quick outfit change and a lot of wipes, she was back to riding the rides.
Isabel befriended Ella as they searched for some princesses.

The girls at the castle entryway.

On our last trip to Disneyland about 5 months ago, Izzy was too scared to talk to the Disney characters and princesses. But this time she wanted to meet them all, talk to them and give them hugs. Here she got friendly with the Fairy Godmother.
Beautiful smile.
Madeline and Isabel hug Minnie Mouse in front of Minnie's house.
Isabel said her favorite ride was "It's a small world". We are on the boat as we enter the building.
And the highlight......meeting the princesses. Adam and Isabel stood in line for an hour to meet 3 of them.

And the end of the long day at Disneyland meant we had to pick up Zinni who spent the day at the Disneyland Kennel. Good dog Zinni! She was happy to be reunited with the family.
Next stop was Las Vegas where is was COLD!
And we had to check out the M&M store/museum.The girls touring the strip at dusk.
Hoover Dam. I had a picture of the new bridge they were building across it but i just accidentally deleted it. opps. That was almost cooler to see than the dam itself.

The girls will do anything to entertain themselves on the long drive. Here Isabel covers herself with stickers.
We finally made it to the Grand Canyon!
It was beautiful.
But it was really, really cold!
Checking out the views.
We kept telling Isabel to check out the views, but she just wanted to play in the patches of snow!
Wildlife on our hike. Zinni was scared!

Leaving our home

The last supper with the C family on our last night in our home. It has been a very emotional move and it is with great sadness that we leave behind some really good friends. The big truck arrives to pack us up.
How can we leave our home?
Claudia checks out all our flowers with me. I hate to miss them in bloom.
I love these Jasmine that we planted. I was hoping they would bloom before our departure. It smells beautifully.
Izzy posed with mama.

Packed up and "ready" (but not so ready) to go.
But we had to do one more drive by of our favorite neighbors house...Hannah and Tay.
Our driver.
Claudia and Zinni hang out.
Isabel is picking out the next video to watch.
Tomorrow we will visit with Mickey and Mini to put some smiles on our faces and then we will hit the road again. I will try to update tomorrow since we have internet here.
Also we had one final set of visitors, here Isabel and dear friend Kenzie cozie up for some pictures.
Elaine, Chris, Kenzie and Ethan hung out with us one last night. We will miss them much.
