Lisa arrives!!!!!

We started out the day with a BBQ so Lisa can see cousins and a old friend that live locally. I didn't get any pics of the party except for this pic of Adam donning a "snuggle" that he got from his cousin as a house warming present. This will be perfect for him and it will keep him nice and toasty as he cheers for his new football team. Now he will have to start watching football!

Lisa did get some better pics if you want to check out cousin Sophia's blog.

Sunday we packed up and explored out little downtown. Claudia got chummy with Nana in the car.
We had to hit the little Mexican joint for a LARGE plate of yummy nachos.
Claudia was full of smiles.
And of course if you have nachos, you also need to have a rather large glass of margaritas to go with it. Lisa poses with Sophia and her glass of margarita.
The girls eating all my chips.
After the margarita we had to go to the local winery where they were busy stomping grapes.
Isabel talks to someone on the phone next to the buckets of grapes. We did do a few tasting and sadly the wine was really bad. I miss our West coast wineries.
But we had a great lobster dinner to celebrate Ma and Lisa's upcoming birthday. Ma turned 64 and Lisa turns 40 next week. They donned their hats, beads and blew out their candles.
Ice Cream Cake and random baby doll next to the cake.
The girls looked forward to their bath time all together. Soap them up and scrub them down.
But all good things must come to an end. Sophia and Auntie Lisa headed back home today. Big hugs for the cousins. Isabel cried hysterically after Sophia left. I think Isabel is ready to head out to cousin Sophia's home next summer.
And Claudia doesn't understand why Lisa has to go either. Hmmmm, there is a house for sale 2 houses down. It would be a perfect place for cousin Sophia to live!

Mama and papa

Mama and Papa, look at all the fun things I am doing with my cousins. We play games and put together puzzles. We went to the park and I went down all the slides.
Claudia tried to follow me down the slides too.
I jumped on the big spider web.
We went to the tree farm and collected eggs from the chickens.
I picked out our Christmas tree.
Isabel and i drove the big tractor with her Uncle Greg.
I held baby Ellie.
I played the piano.
We went on a hayride which I LOVED!
I picked out a pumpkin that i will take home in my suitcase.
I held my pumpkin all the way back to the farm so it wouldn't break open.
I watched the tree cutters that came to cut down the big trees leaning up by the house.
I watched them chip up all the wood.
I went on a bike ride with my cousins and Nana.
Look at how fast I was going!!!!
I went on the tire swing with my cousins and didn't get dizzy!!!
Stay tuned, tomorrow we will go to the largest indoor water park in the country! Can't wait to see ya on Saturday Mama!!!

ICE CREAM!

Two blog updates in the same day....this is a FIRST! Poor Grandpa didn't have much malt left after Claudia got done drinking it! Isabel and Sophia apparently sampled Grandpa's malt too.............
And had a sundae too.
I think they enjoyed it but they definitely had too much sugar because they came home hyper!
Three girls on sugar twirling in their dresses.

Sophia's arrival

We have been so excited waiting for cousin Sophia to arrive from the East Coast and she is HERE! Sophia drove across country with Grandpa and Nana. Next weekend her mama will fly out to pick her up. We hope to do lots of fun things this week while she is visiting. Yesterday was nice and sunny so the girls ran through the sprinklers. Taking a break because the water was cold!
Time to run around and get wet again!
Today we packed up and went to the little local zoo. The girls pose for a few quick pics with Nana. There is a lot of girl energy in the house!
One more pic with Nana.
Isabel and Sophia are having such a good time playing together. They want to sit next to each other, they want to eat the same cereal, play the same games and always wear dresses. So I couldn't resist and I got out the dresses I had gotten them both for Christmas (Christmas can come early, right?). They are meant for next summer so they are slightly large, but they are having fun wearing the same thing. I might have to run to the store and get them something that matches for tomorrow!
Hope to update with more fun posts so Sophia's mama and papa can see how much fun she is having. Maybe they need to move closer!

Preschool!!

Isabel started PRESCHOOL!!! Here she is her first full day without a parent. She was a little apprehensive and said she didn't want to go because no one plays with her. However, she had a great day and said she didn't act "shy" at all and played with boys and girls. Good job Izza! Note the new tree that Uncle Greg planted in the background the night before. This flower bed also had some rehab today thanks to a neighbor who helped out and also pointed out some "flowers" that I had kept but were really weeds. This is Isabel on the first day of preschool where I was able to attend with her. The teachers had stations all around the school with fun things to try out.
The play yard at the school.
Isabel in front of her new school building.
Claudia loves to sit on the potty these days. She probably would sit on it more often if i let her, it just takes a big effort on mama's part to start the potty training phase.
We eat outside several nights a week and are enjoying all this nice weather........while it lasts!
The girls met up with their cousins at the Children's museum the other day. We had lots of fun.
Mama and Julie loved that the art mess was in the art room of the museum and not our own houses!
Madeline painting her pretty picture.
Isabel hugged Clifford the Big Red Dog!
