Watch Isabel & Claudia grow!

The weather has been warm and spring like. We hit the zoo with some friends and soaked up the sun. We love having NO snow! Daddy opened a box from Grandpa and Nana. He had a huge lego set which kept him busy all weekend long. Grandpa sent me several bags of M&M's. However, Daddy didn't tell us girls that the box had several bags and he said it only contained 1 bag. My sleuth Isabel found a bag hidden in a drawer and we realized he wasn't being honest. We are still missing one bag. But no fear, I will find it!!! The girls and daddy work on their legos.
The night before my birthday, I came home from work to find sushi dinner waiting for me. What a treat. Love sushi and i miss eating it. We used to have it all the time in Cali but it is double the price in the great midwest.
My birthday morning I was able to open my wonderful homemade card made by the girls and Adam. It was a pretty special card until i got to the page that read, "And Daddy is pretty great too. By the way, his birthday is coming up next. He's a lot younger than mommy." Nice! But at least he cleaned all the bathrooms as a present to me.
Cousin Liam, Dave and Reyna came to spend the birthday with us. We had lots of good food, fun times and went to see several model homes. All the things that i like to do.
My new favorite birthday feast. Barefoot Contessa's Coconut Creme cupcakes.
And the weekend ended with Adam still playing with his legos.

Claudia got to play with cousin Ellie all day long last week when Ellie's daycare provider had a sick kid. We had a great time with her. Ellie loved to laugh as Claudia crawled behind her acting like a frog. Izzy wanted to be in a picture too.
Claudia started swimming lessons 2 weeks ago. She is doing such a good job and is in the water without a parent (I love that!). She will swim, kick and do what her teacher asks but then will look up at us to make sure we are watching her. Too cute.
Adam and I joined a local wine club and they have private wine tastings. We went to one the other night and the girls tried a new babysitter, another nice neighbor girl. SOME HOW the girls convinced the babysitter that they could sleep together in Claudia's little toddler bed. This is how we found the girls when we got home.
The snow is almost all gone and the temps have warmed up so the play room is open again. Signs of spring!
After 4.5 years, we no longer have a crib in the house. Claudia got this cute little toddler bed from a friend who was no longer using it. Thanks Barbie! Claudia seems to be enjoying her new bed.
Seamstress Lala posed with the boots and coat she made for Zinni dog. We will have to wait for cold weather next year to really get use out of it. Doesn't zinni look excited about her new gear?
