The C family part 1

We are having so much fun with the C family. It has been a great visit. The girls have been playing as if we had never moved away. Here everyone enjoys smores in the backyard campfire. We spent the weekend up at Lala and Grandpa's house while the men ran their marathons. We also had surprised visitors....Nana and Grandpa to support Adam running his first race. The girls also enjoyed the big bathtub.After the race, Jen and I took a canoe for a paddle.

Mike got his personal best time at 3 hours and 17 seconds. He was all smiles and walking pain free after the race.

It has been so special to see Isabel and Hannah back together again. They have been playing like best friends and have really been enjoying this time together.

Mikey and Jen celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary. Mikey surprised Jen with a lemon poppyseed cake. We had to call several bakeries before we found one who could make their wedding cake. It is really good! Love the frosting.

A day of summer. We spend the afternoon at the local river and the girls had a blast digging in the sand and swimming.

Rainy days

It has rained everyday this past month except for one day. We are quite tired of the rain. it makes everyone sleepy. Izzy fell asleep on the floor with Zinni dog. We have a new pet. Meet Darcy the deer (Adam named her). She is out in our trees every evening and every morning. We think she is sleeping somewhere in the grove of trees.

The rain lead me to paint the dining room and Izzy's bathroom. If you want to see bright blinding pink, use her toilet!

Preschool graduation.

I feel like i was just posting the first day of preschool and now here is the last day. Isabel having an ice cream social on her last day of preschool with a few of her mates. Isabel with her two great teachers, Ms. Amy and Ms. Abbey.
