Cousin Brenda's wedding

We headed up North last weekend to attend Cousin Brenda's wedding. The girls were so excited. They love to dance and get all dressed up. But first we caught up with Uncle Mark, Connor and Madeline who were fishing at the lake.

The guests started to arrive and we saw Auntie Reyna, Uncle Dave and cousin Liam all looking young and hip in their shades.

I was able to hang out with my cousins Gina and Melanie.

Auntie Julie was there too.

And she sat with Uncle Mark, Connor and Gavin.

My Aunt Diane, mother of the bride, was led down the aisle.

My Uncle Bill walks Brenda in a beautiful dress down the aisle.

And it was great to see my Cousin Joy.

And her brother (my cousin) Darren.

At the reception they had a chipping contest. My first attempt at golfing ended with a ball in that little pond of water in the front.

The girls were enthralled by my cousin Katie, who was a bridesmaid and by the bride.

They also did their fair share of dancing. I have the best video of Madeline, Izzy and Claudia doing the Donald Duck dance around the dinner tables, but the video is too long and keeps crashing my computer. But it was a great wedding, loved seeing all the families and all the lil kiddos.

New baby cousin Sophie Grace

Welcome little cousin Sophie Grace to the world on 8-10-10. Here she is held by mama, Katie.

Sophie made her grand entrance at 34 weeks! But despite her young age she is doing great.

Lake Geneva

It was a long drive with one screaming kid, but well worth the drive to meet up with some friends and hang at the lake for a long weekend.

All the kids had a blast together. The girls had a great time seeing friends Samantha and Kieran again. Plus they brought another family with so there was lots of kids.

Claudia and daddy walked the dock in the sunset.

Samantha and Keiran brought Grandpa Fred along who taught all the kids to fish. He was a greater fisherman and they kept caughting fish after fish. But they were all small and we threw them back into the water.

Isabel tried to catch mama a fish to eat.

Grandpa Fred was also kind enough to rent a boat for a day on the lake. We had lots of fun boating around the lake.

The girls try to keep their balance when Adam goes over the big waves.

Claudia works on her balance too. She has to keep up with the big girls.

But the best part was anchoring the boat and watching the kids jump and swim.

Sam and Izzy swim to the back of the boat. Actually most of the parents had fun jumping into the water too.

But someone finally tuckered out and fell asleep in mama's arms.

Luara found this great petting zoo and horse show that the kids went too. Here Adam poses with the pregnant donkey.

The baby goats were just too cute.

And the baby deer still had their spots.

The kids are up close and personal with a baby monkey.

Mama Laura wasa crazy driver in the golf cart. Off to the pier for one last swim in the lake.

Sophia leaves and Liam arrives.

The girls have been working with Nana on these homemade paper mache puppets. They put on a great puppet show for all of us similiar to the book "Going on a bear hunt".

The girls have been talking about getting their ear pierced but we had to wait for Sophia's mama to arrive. She was first up in the chair to have it done but backed out after she heard it may "pinch". Maybe next time Sophia!

I didn't expect Izzy would go through with it when Sophia backed out.

But she really wanted too........

And she did it!

Sadly Sophia left with her parents and two hours later cousin Liam arrived. We headed off to the children's museum. Here we are in the balancing area. Liam is in the background.
