A busy summer

Zinni dog is nine years old. My first baby. Adam and I have noticed she is much slower to get up in the morning, but she acts like a puppy when we are up at the Lake. It is fun to watch her run around like a carefree doggie! It was HOT up at the lake and Lala brought out the kiddie pool for the grandkids. Claudia wasn't getting wet at all......

Except for her hind side!

Adam took out the kayak.

Grandpa and Claudia went on a hike.

Lala with 3 of her grandkid girls.

This weekend was my 20 year high school reunion. I was able to reunite with my old friend and neighbor Cheryl, who now lives in Austin Texas with her husband and 2 girls. They visited our house for a day. The 4 girls had a BLAST together and they were all BFF"s instantly. Kennedy, Claudia, Avery, and Isabel leaving the park.

Cousin Sophia is here!!!!! Perfect timing, today Isabel received a kids magazine in the mail. These magazines are sent from Aunt Jane. They loved reading, doing the puzzles and games in the magazine. Thanks Aunt Jane!!!!

Claudia finished up farm camp this week. Her last hour was an open house for the families to come and see what she has been doing for the last 2 weeks. Sophia and Didier get a lesson on how to feed the sheep.

Claudia decided she just wanted to pet the horse and not ride him today. At the start of camp she sat on the horse but was too scared to ride him. She did progress to riding the horse....she also told me that she did jumps and trotting with the horse too. Hmmmmmm.

Sophia loved the zip line.

Claudia too......

Checking out all the animals.

More to come. The big girls start Science camp tomorrow!

Washington DC

We had a great trip to DC and Virginia this summer. The girls played around the columns at the Jefferson Memorial. Nana and Grandpa were our hosts and tour guides.

Claudia age 3 1/2.

Isabel, age 6 (love the front teeth).

Hi President Obama!

Touring the Air and Space Museum. This was a very cool museum.

We experienced about 2 miles of the Appalachian Trail before our hikers tired out. This was with lots of water breaks, trail mix break and Adam carrying Lil Lu on his shoulders!

Nana as our tour guide.
